Nike

Women’s Sportswear Apparel Copywriter

ACG and SB Copywriter

Product Copywriter

My goal as a copywriter is to help the consumer understand aspects of the product that photos can’t show. Which means starting with questions: How does the clothing fit? What does it feel like? Has anything about a shoe changed since the previous edition? Is there a story behind the product that will inspire the reader?

I conduct marketplace research to understand the unique consumer of each product and speak directly to them. My writing embodies the tone of Nike. I collaborate with teammates across the company, crafting strategy and aligning with broader messaging.

ACG and SB

I currently write for ACG (All Conditions Gear) and SB (Skateboarding)
ACG serves outdoor athletes: from explorers to hikers to trail runners. The products are built around robust, location-based stories. I do my best to tell those stories, always keeping product and consumer in mind.

I write over 1,000 styles every year—here are a few of my recent favorites.

Women’s Sportswear Apparel

My first role at Nike was as the Women’s Sportswear Apparel writer.

Naomi Osaka

I got to write copy for several Naomi Osaka collections. The product team worked closely with Naomi to bring her visions to life and tell her story.

Establishing the Kobe Brand

The launch of the Kobe brand came with a lot of intention and planning. I was glad to be a part of the team working on this from the early stages. The process included establishing a Tone of Voice (led by Alex Tam), working with Sports Marketing, and incorporating direction and feedback from Vanessa Bryant.

My Role
Writer, Contributing Collaborator

This jacket celebrates the story of Bobbi Gibbs. She snuck into the Boston Marathon in 1966 despite intense opposition. This act paved the way for women to run in marathons.

Great story, right? The challenge was that I couldn’t legally say “Boston Marathon” or “Bobbi Gibbs.” I did my best to still tell her story of tenacity.
